Default Would this build work? A/W that doesn't use Daggers...

I've been kinda obsessing over an assassin build using a Katana, and this is what I've got so far...

Assassin/Warrior

Critical Strikes: 10 (9+1)
Shadow Arts: 12 (9+3)
Swordsmanship: 12

- Aura of Displacement [Elite] (Assassin None)
- Way of Perfection (Shadow Arts)
- Flurry (Warrior other)
- Wild Blow (Warrior other)
- Standing Slash (Swordsmanship)
- Silverwing Slash (Swordsmanship)
- Shadow Refuge (Shadow Arts)
- Resurrection Signet

The idea is basically to get in, score as many critical hits as possible to inflict lots of damage fast, get back out. I'm hoping Way of Perfection combined with Shadow's Refuge will offer enough healing, while Flurry will make attacks fast enough to compete with the damaging speed of daggers... Tell me your thoughts.

eh test it. looks energy starving to me.

I to would like to build a katana assassin build but i have a debate on that issue.

if your A/W try...

res sig or vipers defense, watch yourself, bonetti, sever artery, gash, jaizhenju strike, galraths slash or pure strike....elite either victory is mine (heal/energy) or my favorite Battle rage. 25% run speed/double adreniline... to get in fast, KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL,..... once in trouble vipers defense get out fast for 5energy and look you left them nearly dead with a 7 degen (-3bleeding, -4 poison )

10% furous mod is nice and at least 10 tactic.

with this build your a high dmg semitank with degen and an escape button.

not looking at my exact attribute breakdown but 10 tactic is a must.
remember put leftovers in dagger. sounds stupid but 2% per point is chance to double strike. not bad support for those down times.

I'm interested in this as well... I have an experimental build that I use with swords whenever I got bored with daggers... The permise was adren for offense and energy for defense:

Swd: 12
Crit: 16
Shadow Arts: (whatever's left)

attack skills - based on adren:

Sever artery - (adren condition attk) If this attack hits, the opponent begins bleeding for 21 sec, losing health over time

Gash - (adren condition/dmg attk)if this attk hits a bleeding foe, you strike for 17 more dmg and suffers a deep wound for 17 secs.

Sun and Moon Slash - (adren dmg attk) attk target foe twice. 1st attk cant be blocked, 2nd cant be evaded.

Final Thrust - (adren dmg attk) Lose all adren. If it hits, you deal 32 more dmg. This dmg is doubled if your target is below 50% hp.

Defense/Evade skills - based on energy:

Critical Defenses (enchantment) - for 6 secs, you have 75% chance to block. It refreshes every time you land a crit hit. Or you can replace this skill to "For Greater Justice" to enhance adrenaline speed, or maybe even "Way of Perfection" for +27 health each time you crit...

Viper's Defense - (stance) for 30 sec, next time you are struck you teleport to a nearby random location. Foe who struck you is poisoned for 15 secs. (this will somewhat be your escape)

Critical Eye - (skill) For 27 sec, you have an additional 5% chance to crit when attacking. You gain +1 energy whenever you score a crit.

Shadow Refuge - (enchantment) For 4 sec, you gain +8 health regen, when it ends, you gain 60 health if you are attacking.

Initially, you'll want to use Viper's defense before you go into battle. Use Crit Eye constantly and Shadow Refuge/Crit def when needed. I recommend getting a katana with +15% when enchanted, with an enchant duration bonus. You can also decide to take out Critical Defenses and replace that with Way of Perfection, a Sword energy attack (disrupting blow, savage slash, or Hundred Blades), another adren attack, or even a shout like For Greater Justice or a speed bonus skill like Tiger Stance/Flurry. IMO it has decent survivability and attack, and is a good build when used with henchmen for PVE. PVP is a different story. You're better off with daggers there.... Unless someone can post a nice A/W PvP sword build....
